What's a passkey?
A passkey replaces your password with your device's built-in unlock — a fingerprint, face scan, PIN, or hardware security key (Touch ID, Windows Hello, YubiKey, and similar).
- Nothing to type, so it can't be phished.
- The passkey never leaves your device.
- It can't be stolen in a data breach.
One tap or glance and you're in — no username / password to type on each sign-in.
On modern phones and computers, passkeys usually sync automatically through your device's account (iCloud Keychain, Google Password Manager, Windows 11 Passkeys, 1Password, etc.), so registering once often covers all of your devices.
On older machines or locked-down corporate PCs where sync is disabled, you may need to register a passkey on each device you use. You can register as many as you like from your Profile page after you sign in.

- Open this page in Safari (required for iOS).

Chrome works on every Android phone (including Samsung) and is the most reliable way to install. If Samsung Internet isn't working for you, switch to Chrome.
- Open this page in Chrome (the colorful round icon).
- If a banner pops up at the bottom that says “Add to Home screen”, just tap Add — you're done.
- Otherwise, tap the three-dot menu in the top right.
- Tap “Install app” (or “Add to Home screen” on older Chrome versions).
- Tap “Install” to confirm. The app icon will appear on your home screen.
Samsung Internet's menu changes between versions. If these steps don't match what you see on screen, switch to Chrome — it's more reliable.
- Open this page in Samsung Internet.
- If you see an “Install” or “Add to Home screen” prompt at the bottom of the page, tap it — you're done.
- Otherwise, tap the menu icon at the bottom right of the screen. It looks like three lines on most phones, or three dots on others.
- Tap “Add page to” (some versions just say “Add to”).
- Choose “Home screen”, then tap “Add” to confirm.
- The app icon will appear on your home screen.
- Don't see “Add page to” or “Home screen”? Your version of Samsung Internet may have moved or removed this option. Open the page in Chrome instead and follow the Chrome steps above.
Microsoft Edge
- Click the three-dot menu in the top right.
- Select “More tools”, then “Apps”, then “Install this site as an app”.
- Give it a name and click “Install” to confirm.
Google Chrome
- Click the install icon in the address bar (easiest), or click the three-dot menu in the top right.
- From the menu, select “Cast, save, and share”, then “Install page as app…”.
- Give it a name and click “Install” to confirm.
Firefox
- Firefox does not support installing web apps directly.
- You can bookmark this page or drag the URL to your desktop to create a shortcut.
Safari
- Open this page in Safari.
- From the menu bar, click File → Add to Dock…
- Give it a name and click Add. The app icon appears in your Dock and Launchpad.
Google Chrome
- Click the install icon in the address bar, or use the three-dot menu.
